PreK-3's
Our PreK-3's are ready to tackle larger concepts and spend time working on various themed units. The concepts introduced at this level are structured on a weekly curriculum that touches on things in and around their world.
Colors and Shapes make up the first half of the year. Weekly topics encourage the children to delve into learning as the class creates distinct art projects relating to the corresponding color or shape of the week. In the second half of the year, the students begin Letter and Number Recognition in tandem with weekly themes such as Our Five Senses, My Family and Transportation. These themes are presented through various literature choices and countless artistic expressions that reinforce a healty love of reading and foster individual achievement. Along with our weekly curriculum, the children at this age level are encouraged to be more and more self-sufficient and self-reliant as they master new skills on a daily basis. Both fine motor and gross motor activities are interspersed in a daily routine of active learning. By the end of the year, our 3's are ready to step up to the challenges of PreK-4.
